The Vienna International Centre celebrates 45 years

The Vienna International Centre represents an important annual source of international diplomacy and is characterized by the cooperation of various international organizations worldwide. The Vienna International Centre has 193 members and was opened in 1979 in Vienna.

A colourful mixture of exhibitions are held in the Rotunda, and important topics, such as panel discussions and lectures are carried out in various conference rooms.

Visitors can also take part in a pre-booked one-hour tour (in numerous languages) organized by the United Nations Information Service.

An interesting event ‘Cine´- Onu’ takes place once a month, outside the VIC. These are characterized by numerous interesting topics followed by a panel discussion for the general public.

In retrospect, it can be said that the Vienna International Centre promotes strong cooperation between the nations of the world, which have the common goal of strengthening and stabilizing global humanitarian security.
