to the attending guests at the press breakfast.

UNIS – Martin Nesirky
Martin Nesirky mentioned that civil society/ readers/ media platforms should be more aware of “misinformation” or “disinformation”. Encouraging an open dialogue, fostering inclusivity, and educating people about the harmful effects of hate speech are essential steps in building a more tolerant and compassionate society.

CTBTO –  La Neice Collins
Comprehensive Nuclear- Test- Ban Treaty organization
wants to  ban all forms and signs of nuclear detonation. Primary the importance is to detect early warning signs. The aim is to prevent all forms of harmful radiation, violence and noxious chemical substances. CTBTO offers an annual “science and technology” (SnT) conference for interested individuals, that is accessible online.

IAEA   –   Frederik Dahl
International Atomic Energy Agency
focuses on environmental issues, such as radioactive substances which can be released into the environment. Soil, water and air can become contaminated. IAEA enables access to healthcare systems. Promoting affordable and accessible healthcare and including insurance coverage for cancer treatments.

UNODC – Brian Hansford
United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
has five significant elements requiring continuous work and sharpening: crime prevention, corruption, to combat terrorism, empowering criminal justice & drug prevention.  With the Blue Heart Campaign it´s one step closer to prohibit human trafficking.

The United Nations family in Vienna covers the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR).

They all have a mission to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
