After the summer break, the Cine- Onu film screenings continued. The room had been packed with numerous guests. They all waited eagerly for the documentary film followed by a panel- discussion.
Last evening, the film “Cuando Las Aguas Se Juntan” by Margarita Martinez Escallon was screened. Prior to the movie being shown, there were two short segments. On one hand a message for the International Day for Peace by Antonio Gueterres and on the other hand a message by the director Margarita Martinez.
The story of an active group of women who suffered from violent conflicts, hostilities and discrimination, but showed strength to remain in a peaceful and safe environment. At this time there were revolutionary conflicts in Colombia. The inhabitants of the villages were striving for a mission for justice, a social solidarity to prevent all forms of violence, fear and war.
